a diagnosed condition

The end of this week saw the latest episode of a tragic art family story. The curator of an influential art gallery was stabbed last year by his son during a psychotic episode. I’d met the curator briefly whilst doing my Master of Design degree at the College of Fine Arts, my end of degree showing was in the Masters exhibition in 2003, where my two works Janz & Franc and Harvesting Chestnuts were shown.

I knew the victim only passingly; his son, the unfortunate perpetrator, not at all. May both find harmony and peace, each in their separate realms.
